Philip Bussey is a designer based in St. Paul, MN. His primary research and design interests lie in exploring new technologies in computation, fabrication, and design.
His previous work experience has included a structural engineering and facade design consultant (Thornton Tomasetti), a specialty fabrication shop (Seeyond and Radius Track), a full service architecture office (HGA), and a material testing firm (AET). He is currently employed as a Designer at Cuningham Group.
He has a B.S. Arch and M.Arch degree from the University of Minnesota's College of Design. His final project (with Hwan Kim and Sangyong Hahn) won a Richard Morrill Master's Final Project Award, and his work as Marc Swackhamer's research assistant on VarVac Wall was presented at ACADIA 2013 and was the winner of an R&D award from Architect Magazine in 2014.
