This cat cafe, located in the Tremont area of Cleveland, is more than an establishment to purchase a coffee and hangout with cats. The owner's of the store collaborated with the Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL); by engaging the APL, affoGATO has ensured the adoption of local cats in need. Around 15 APL cats will be on-site so that when patrons visit affoGATO they will have the ability to hangout with and - if they so choose - adopt a cat during their visit.

The main architectural elements of the cafe are the cat climbing wall & cat walk chandelier. While the cat walk chandelier envelopes the existing pendant lights, the wall consists of strategically placed shelves allowing cats to ascend to the cat walk chandelier.
