I’m a recent graduate of the University of Michigan having obtained my B.S. and M.Arch from the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
As these are the formative years of my architectural career, I want to insure they’re well rounded. I want my abilities as a licensed architect to be equally strong in all aspects. At least, until a more specific design path makes itself known to me. Currently my preferences lie with institutional design and possibly home renovation. I see these categories as a chance to impact a wide audience of visitors; to truly become instrumental in their lives. I believe that impact is what will give my work deeper meaning, and as such this is what I see myself perusing in these next five years toward licensure.

Dumankaya Group, Istanbul, TR, Urban Design Consultant
A travel studio sponsored by the Dumankaya group that charged us with creating modern designs that also preserved the rich Turkish culture and mitigated the potential disaster of the next earthquake. There was a ten day visit to Istanbul in which four main target sites were researched. These “urban revitalization zones” seemed to have a colorful life within each of them that would be ruined by this project, thought it would save many lives. As a result, the project takes a culturally sensitive route through phasing and preservation to try and retain as many residents as possible on site.
