    A Week of Steel

    By juvasquez

Our bridge finally became a tangible reality this week with the delivery of our steel. On Monday, all of our barstock, columns, C-channels, and angles arrived at studio. We set to work cutting everything to size.

On Wednesday, our steel I-beams arrived at ESL. We were all so excited to finally see the main pieces of steel arrive! Everything seems so real now that we have all of the structural members.

We cut our 3/4" steel plates on the plasma cutter, and have been prepping the handrail posts for our post-tensioned cable system. Soon, all of the pieces of our bridge will be ready for assembly!
