    Prefabrication

We have finally kicked off prefabrication at the Environmental Systems Laboratory not far from Virginia Tech's campus.  Our studio has split into three groups, each working on a portion of the construction.  The back of house group has begun framing the decked green room as well as the ramp leading to the front of the stage.  The stage contingent has started framing the roof of the bandshell, while the front of house group began cutting pieces for the benches and framing the projection booth.

Meanwhile, onsite excavation has started.  In the next few weeks, the site will be graded and foundations will be poured.
