It's hard to make regular posts when there are so many things to do!
Well, at least I have made some reasonable progress with my project. I know what my retreat is going to be like; materials, proportions, etc. All I have to do now are drawings and a model - our deadline is wednesday next week, at 17:00! I'm quite pleased with how things are working out actually. We had reviews/tutorials on friday and my tutor seemed pleased with the preliminary drawings I did. He said that it could be a really good project, and didn't really make any criticisms.
My tutor also showed us 'how to draw' this week, which was useful as they didn't really show us anything before and left it up to ourselves to figure out what to do.
Another thing I have managed to do this week is my presentation for my architectural history tutorial. We have to do one each semester. It takes quite a lot of researching so I wanted to get it done now rather than later on in the semester when we're probably going to be even more tight for time. It was quite an interesting topic actually: 'In what ways does the Red House represent the Arts and Crafts philosophy?' And my tutor seemed quite pleased with my presentation, despite the fact that I just managed to finish preparing it before my tutorial!
All in all, it's been a good week so far.

You speak too much about what your tutor wants...what do YOU want?
Hey...everyone is like that in first year sloring! Everyone in Scotland anyway ;-) I should know...
So Rebecca - keep it coming - I want to know if Edinburgh University is the elitist thought-machine I think it might be...
So where are you signum?
Elitist thought-machine..?!
Hehe, ummm, I can see why that comment might not make any sense.
I grew up in Edinburgh and have always thought of Edinburgh Uni as a bit...elitist. I went to Strathclyde and think it's exactly the opposite, so much so, they'll let anyone in, which as you can imagine, has it's downsides.
I've finished fourth year so I'm considering where I should fininsh my Part II.
