    Objective analysis of Good Architecture

What makes architecture good and who determines what is good and what is bad architecture?

Overpriced shiny panels and tacked on bells and whistles with life cycle costs overshadowing generative performance claims win accolades and make sustainability sexy and chic but are these methods truly sustainable and scalable at all economic levels of society and building types? The current state of the art in architecture could be well served by an empirical set of locally relevant objective principles quantified by the individuals and end users measuring the increase in quality of life and ecology that truly good architecture can provide without the need for standardized bureaucratic forms and requirements monopolizing winners through the certification process and stifling grassroots innovation.
