The Smog Free Project creates clean urban skies via the Smog Free Park and Smog Rings.

Dutch designer Daan Roosegaarde and his team of experts are using patented ion technology to make the world's largest smog vacuum cleaner. Here the cleanest park in Beijing is created where people can experience clean air for free.

As a tangible souvenir, Roosegaarde designed Smog Rings of compressed smog particles. Each high-end ring supports the cleaning of 1000m3 of polluted air.

    Specifications:
2014-2016. Modular system in a public park of 40x40 meter with energy friendly and patented ion technology, lightweight construction and LEDs. First Smog Rings available end of 2014.

About this Blog

I'm an Arts and Media management student who prefers big, illuminate and slightly bizarre art & architecture. I believe in art and social media as an original way of communicating. Currently I'm an intern at social design lab Studio Roosegaarde and I would like to blog about my activities here, the people I meet and art and architecture I like. For architects it could be interesting to see everything of an young, innovative, arty perspective.
