About

I've practiced architecture for over 30 years and have taught architecture to high school and college students and continue to be a guest critic at a number of schools in the New York area.  I've also worked in Milan and am comfortable working in metric as well as English measurements.  I have a basic fluency in Italian and bit less in French.  I enjoy contemporary design that seeks to be innovative and I attempt to provide sustainable design that is a healthy environment for the client and users.  I'm well versed in interiors including furniture, furnishings and fabrics and have taught myself  quite a bit about lighting.  I have a wide range of resources of materials and pride myself of detaillng, especially millwork.  The conceptual phase of a project is one that I quickly come to and enjoy expanding the initial concept to create a total work that follows the initial ideas.

I keep myself active in the architecture and design communities in New York through lectures, exhibitions and films.  Outside of practicing architecture, I keep active with yoga, meditation and speed walking and attend films, dance, opera, music, museums and galleries and concerts - part of the reason I enjoy living in New York..
