About 

I enjoy working on both historic properties and new designs.

I care deeply about culture and sustainability. I am interested in the evolution of buildings, and hope to encourage the interaction between people and built environment through preservation. I intend to work and learn to improve those places and  people’s experience.

Employment

Worked under the supervision of Jennifer Wong. Duties included:
Materials research for collection, classes and exhibitions;
Daily management and updates of MaterialDatabase website and its UTSOA webpage;
Circulation service;
Coordinating with workshops and exhibitions.

Hubei Mechanical and Electrical Research and Design Institute (CMERDI) Co.,Ltd., Wuhan, CN, Intern Architect

Worked under the supervision of Yiquan Zou (senior architect). I took part in several projects in Zhijiang Redevelopment Plan, including the regional research, data collection and presentation and vernacular housing design.
I was in charge of the preliminary plan of Yaojiagang Elementary School (land area: 6.67 acre; building area: 1.70 acre) and the design and construction drawings of the extension plan of Manaohe Elementary School ((building area: 44713 square feet). I also cooperated with engineers for structural and facility drawings.

The coursework included preservation and planning theories, methodologies and practice. I studied a variety of historic properties from interior figures and buildings in different types to landscape. I was most interested in materials study and preservation technique. My graduate thesis focused on the interpretation of historic resources.
