Hello, my name is Bettina Boland! I am currently going into my fourth year of architecture school at Mississippi State University. I have had the opportunity to intern at an architecture firm this summer where I have learned about the many different roles architects take on along with great professional experience. While this has been an amazing opportunity for me, I hope to expand my horizons next summer and begin looking for my next summer internship!
Seay, Seay, & Litchfield Architects, Montgomery, AL, US, Architectural Intern
As an architectural intern at Seay, Seay, Litchfield, I actively participate in the design and development phases of various projects. While working closely with experienced architects and design teams, I have contributed to the development of architectural concepts, schematic designs, and construction documentation. Through my role, I am continually learning and honing my skills in areas such as space planning, 3D modeling, and building code compliance. I have been able to engage in collaborative discussions, attend project meetings, and assist in conducting research to support design decisions. Additionally, I have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard software and tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Suites.
Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS, US, BArch, Architecture
As an architecture student at Mississippi State University, I'm immersed in a comprehensive program that covers architectural history, design theory, construction technology, along with hands on experience. Through our studio projects, I develop architectural concepts and refine my design skills. While an architecture student at Mississippi State, I have found the hard work of learning, staying updated on industry trends, and integrating aesthetics, sustainability, and social impact into my work, to pay off tremendously and I look forward to my future achievements.
