Certificate of Merit, Interior Architecture, AIA Pittsburgh, 2014
Desmone recently renovated the famous Andy Warhol Museum in the Pittsburgh North Shore. The main gallery has been converted into a multi-purpose event space resembling Andy Warhol’s original “Silver Factory” and silver faux brick wall panels and loft-style furniture is used throughout. The new gift shop incorporates Andy’s artwork and quotes about his “Art as Commerce” philosophy. The project also added an iPad bar with display monitors showcasing Warhol films and the Museum’s international programs, theatrical lighting, stage curtains and acoustic ceiling panels.
