Richmond, VA
RICHMOND, VA (March 20, 2014) – On Wednesday, March 26, Baskervill Principal Mark Larson, AIA, will be a featured panelist at the Urban Land Institute of Richmond’s “Healthy Communities,” which will explore the organization’s healthy communities initiative founded upon the “10 Principles for Building Healthy Places.”
Mark will share how these principles inform and guide the work he does for a variety of housing developments, including senior housing, assisted living, student housing, and low-income housing. Most recently, Mark’s design of Winchester Greens, an award-winning community celebrated for its story of transformation and hope, was recognized as a Livable Community of Virginia by the Virginia Center for Architecture and Virginia Society AIA.
Ruth Morrison of Sports Backers and Tim Joyce of YMCA will join Mark as panelists at the roundtable discussion, hosted by Maureen McAvey of the Urban Land Institute. Together, panelists will explore pioneering regional initiatives used to create healthy communities.
