LOCAL PHARMA, Integrated Workplace

The IWP projects take a unique look and design approach to address the current and future needs of the local pharma’s employees and their working environment. Our challenge is to demonstrate a design that starts with a clean interior space and integrates a working environment that is scalable, communications efficient, and flexible for any user type within their organization. The design commits to using open social space as usable informal meeting space, along with flexible workstation types supported by private and group enclosed work zones.

The 23,000 s.f. interior design project known as IWP Pilot One was designed as a total renovation project where all existing walls and ceilngs were removed before the project started. Meeting rooms are cladded in wood panels and storefront with graphic images of historical structures on the campus. A curving wall leads to the social hub and also forms collaborative breakout spaces.  Concrete deck and columns are exposed as a backdrop to the open, flexible environment. Focus
booths, conference rooms and support spaces are placed in a manner that allow for maximum
daylight exposure along with views to the outdoors.
