Like many working filmmakers, I've been all over the place - from editing documentaries shot in Nepal, to music supervising narrative shorts. I studied journalism at NYU to pick up interviewing skills, and ended up writing short stories and just making more films. But what has always remained is that I've written, directed, and produced my own work since I was only five feet tall (I'm only five-six now), and there’s nothing I'd rather be doing.

After a year of studying physics and computer science in undergrad, I realized I wanted to add more liberal arts to my curriculum, and thus also pursued a major in journalism. In that regard, I spent much of my time in school running around New York interviewing artists, photographers, and business owners. I fell in love with profiles, and have been writing with that as my focus ever since.
