Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. My name is Ally Tatum, I am a highly motivated Architectural Designer recently returned to Los Angeles, CA after living in Tokyo, Japan for over a year.
I received a Bachelors of Architecture in 2009 from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. I have five years of experience in architectural design, three of those years being specifically in retail and restaurant architecture with clients such as Veggie Grill, Lululemon, Lucky Brand Jeans, Converse, Nike, Wet Seal, Fossil, and Watch Station International.
During this time, I developed close professional working relationships with the project managers, engineers, company partners, and clients. This enabled me to learn a great deal about all aspects of taking a project from design concept through a set of working drawings, and finally a fully realized completed project. Additionally, I was able to gain first hand experience with project scheduling and managing client relations.
I have excellent AutoCAD and Revit skills, as well as Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp. I believe that my professional skills and experience will allow me to add immediate value to any design team. Additionally, I am a passionate designer with a strong work ethic; I am able to take direction and work independently and also collaborate and coordinate with a team.

Solely managed and produced projects for Wet Seal in AutoCAD under strict time constraints (roughly two week production period from survey to completion) as well as multiple projects for Fossil and Watch Station International brands in Revit as part of a team. Coordinated schedules and client contact.

Took projects from schematic design phase through completed construction documents in Revit, as well as construction administration including coordination with clients, general contractors, vendors, and engineers. Clients include Veggie Grill, Lucky Brand Jeans, Nike and Converse . Also spearheaded creation of office standard template and complete overhaul of Revit family library.

Conducted due diligence research and produced schematic layouts as well as construction documents. Also assisted in materials research and production of presentation materials. Main client was Lululemon Athletica, also assisted with Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf value engineering project.

Reviewed incoming AutoCAD as-built survey drawings from the field and compared them with 3DVRs and still images to ensure accuracy and quality of drawings. Main client was Darden, restaurants included Red Lobster and Olive Garden.

Assisted with 3D modeling, physical study models, CAD drawings, graphic layout of presentations, technical drafting and mark ups, as well as addenda. Also printed and put together presentation materials such as boards and booklets.
