Hi, I’m Avery Salleh, an interior designer who believes in telling stories through space.
With a background in commercial and hospitality design, I focus on creating spaces that honor underrepresented voices and forgotten histories. Design, for me, is about more than aesthetics—it's about creating environments that resonate with people’s unique stories. When I’m not designing, I’m skating by the beach or photographing the beautiful architecture of California.
Design-Art LLC, Surprise, AZ, US, Interior Designer
In this role, I specialize in creating 3D visualizations, building spaces from the ground up. I prepare construction documents, present design concepts to clients and teams, collaborate on space planning and material selection, and incorporate diverse cultural and environmental perspectives to foster inclusive and creative designs.
Creative Design Consultants, Costa Mesa, CA, US, Interior Designer
In this role, I led the design and execution of multifamily commercial amenities spaces, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client goals. I created technical drawings in AutoCAD, brought spaces to life in 3D, and coordinated with design, purchasing, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution, on-time delivery, and budgets.
California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), Long Beach, CA, US, Bachelors, Interior Design
The BFA program at CSULB focused on creating functional, sustainable spaces while refining skills in space planning, design communication, and project analysis through hands-on studio work and professional feedback. This training equipped me to tackle complex design challenges. As part of the program, I completed a year-long senior thesis project where I designed a behavioral health center from scratch, applying the knowledge I acquired and preparing me for further education or career opportunities in design.
