I take a sensible approach to city history, seeking urban continuity with existing constructions and streets. I focus my energy on imagining new urban shapes adapted to their context, combining their best features to create a project for the people who will live and work in these new environments.
My most recent position was with the award-winning design firm ANMA (Paris), in a day-to-day practice with Nicolas Michelin, who was nominated in 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009 for the French “grand prix” of Urban Planning. He is also former dean of the Versailles National School of Architecture and was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 2013.
My previous professional experience varies in scale and includes apartment and office buildings, streetscapes and campuses, as well as the redevelopment of large industrial areas at Leibar & Seigneurin (Bordeaux, France) and ANMA (Paris, France). Some of my work focused on finding a new narrative for sites such as the Bordeaux Docks redevelopment and the University & Business district close to Paris.
I am a licensed architect (France) with a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Nantes National School of Architecture and an Executive Master’s in Urban Planning and Design from the Paris “Les Ponts et Chaussées” engineering school.

École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris, FR, Masters, Spatial planning and urban development
The AMUR degree course tackles issues raised by the contemporary city, using analytical and theoretical approaches that link various disciplines - from law to economics, sociology to political science, and architecture to urban planning. Specific knowledge is taught through a range of courses where students have to produce personal reports on various topics. Alongside these courses, a year-long design-led approach is developed, which is a productive way to explore urban issues. As a practical exercise, the ‘project’ or design experience aimed to achieve full involvement in training, and to favor space as the confrontation and convergence of different scales in a variety of natural environments: spatial, technical, political, and geographical.
Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Nantes, Nantes, FR, MArch, Architecture and Urban Design
About French national architecture schools:
French education in architecture has been harmonized within the European LMD degree system. (LMD = bachelor, master, PhD)
- The first 3 years of study lead to a degree in architectural studies that is the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree.
- The next 2 years lead to the award of the Diplôme d’État d’architecte, the equivalent of a master’s degree.
- The optional year-long accreditation to practice architecture in one’s own name (HMONP) involves spending two thirds of the time in an architect’s office and one third of the time at school, and leads to the title of “Licensed architect”.
Best executive master student for the year 2017, Award
Every year the foundation of "Les Ponts&Chaussées" gives an award to a student among all the executive masters for their work during the year, their accomplishment and the way they see their future.
I was awarded "Best executive master candidate" for the year 2017 for my determination to go further in the comprehension of the forces at stake in the creation and development of the city, for my accomplishment during the executive master in spatial planning and urban development, and for my career "sensibly adventurous".
