With over ten years of experience in Architectural design and five years of experience in Architecture & Engineering industry I believe to have the exceptional ability and understanding in planning, designing, detailing, coordinating and executing small and large scale projects. I have always been ever enthusiastic in contributing to the design community through practice, academia and its collective pursuit.
I recently established YAF'D which is an informal think tank for young, enthusiastic architects who are interested in academic discussions about contemporary Dubai. Prior to this, I worked in New York city for a year and completed my Master in Architecture (Post-professional) with courses in project management from PennDesign and Entrepreneurship at Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania in May 2013. My exposure to design thinking while in the United States of America has contributed to my growth as a global designer. Moreover, my years of industry work and academic research in Dubai since 2008 have been instrumental in establishing the Architect I have grown to become today.
I believe my strengths lie in excellent communication skills, proactive collaboration, dedicated work ethics, agile problem-solving and leadership initiation when required. I have been fortunate to have been a part of large scale urban projects such as Mix-use developments, Commercial and hospitality, Residential developments as well as small scale Interior projects that require an eye for detail in various regions of the world. I highly value design research at every stage in one's career and believe that it is integral to the process of designing efficiently.
Overall, I believe my work experience and technical knowledge combined with my education at PennDesign, Wharton, and KRVIA have imbued a keen design sensibility, broad management perspective, and critical analytically skills, enabling me to become a valuable contributor to the rapidly growing design community.
