I am a self confident person - I know my abilities, but I also know my limits and I always try to push them forward - I am very determined and ambitious, I like to bring to reality the impossible, I like challenges. I love architecture, I work with great pleasure and I am a hard worker, I appreciate creativity (I think I am a creative person) – I believe it is one of the most important things which makes the world to evolve in an nondestructive way. I am a kind and calm person, I treat with respect, seriousness and dedication my work and also others work – I think that respect between people and patience are the most important things when it comes to built relations (no matter its type) and trust, especially for architects, who work in teams and different multidisciplinary collectives. I am open-minded, I like to learn (and I do it fast and easily). I am a serious person, but I also have the sense of humor, I am a very respectful, polite and correct – I appreciate the truth – I am a disciplined and orderly person. I have a strong character, even though I am very sensitive and a bit shy, especially until I accommodate myself with the persons around me. I like to discover new cultures and learn as much as possible from them, understand them in a deeper way, because in this way I understand people, different mentalities, lifestyles (as life itself), cities populated by people, so I would be able to propose a better architecture for them and their needs.
CDG Group, Changzhou, CN, Intern Architect
I did a three months internship at CDG (Cooperative Design Group) - an office of architecture in Changzhou, Jinagsu province, China, through I.A.E.S.T.E. (The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience). My experience at CDG was very complex and helped me to understand and learn a lot of things about Chinese costumers, architecture, cities, culture and tradition, because of the varied projects I was involved in during this time, as a concept designer, because of the meetings and discussions with clients and public presentations, and also because of the great understanding and collaboration with my colleagues and my supervisors. During these three months of internship I was working on several projects: two small offices buildings, a large shopping center, small modular hotel (made of containers), facade and volumetric reshaping for a large complex of offices buildings, retail and residential area, interior design for several old buildings of an old factory (functional conversion). Some of the preliminary designs I have made for these projects where chosen by the clients to be developed (for the next phase of the project).
