A proposed design for a 520 sq. ft. guest house (ADU). The living and bedroom areas open onto exterior patios to connect the interior with the outdoors, orienting them towards the best view. A critical component of any shelter is the roof and this one plays a significant role in the overall design, helping to create a proportionally harmonious relationship with the main mass of the building while incorporating ample overhangs where necessary.
