Anvil D. Nel is a highly proficient SACAP registered CANDIDATE SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST with 5 years’ experience cultivating the skills developed as a student of Architecture, ie: REVIT, AutoCad, SketchUp, BIM ie: Revit, Codebook, as well as Photoshop, model-building, Urban Design, site and contextual analysis, Rendering, sketch design, Local Authority submissions and Sustainability Assessment proficiency. He has been successful in obtaining a number of awards which include ECP (Extended Curriculum Program) Most Improved Student (2013) while working at JAKUPA Architects & Urban Designers as well as Department Ambassador (2014) for his positive influence on student morale. He managed to cultivate a distinctive professional network of Designers, Artists, Architects, political contacts, potential investors and Developers from across the globe by attending the International Union of Architects World Congress Durban 04 - 07 Aug 2014 as well as the American Institute of Architects Convention in Atlanta, Georgia (2015) where he became a friend of the American Institute of Architects and its Fellows. He worked on award- winning projects contributing to the Healthcare Facilities mandate in the MENA region, while previously employed by SSH Design as an intern (2015). Anvil was appointed as the Chief Editor for the department’s Newsletter called In- Perspective (2016) and is continuously progressing in his prudent journey as an aspiring Architect.
Anvil Nel currently completed his B-Tech degree in Architectural Technology (2017), Cape Peninsula University of Technology, intends to specialize in Urban Design and Research, as post graduate studies.
