About

As a teenager working in a ceramic lab, I enjoyed the eccentric, architectural-like shapes that emerged from constructing new vessels. Soon after I immersed myself in the study of architecture. Since then, I have gained experience in the workplace - as well as academic experience - in dealing with building design and optimization, energy efficiency, interior design, and comfort evaluation.

Education

Politecnico di Bari, Bari, MArch, Building engineer-architecture

Accomplish my Master's degree with the final project called "Design of a high-efficiency mixed-use building in NYC" with a 3,93 GPA.
The project involves me in:
• Use of angular selectivity glass for better solar energy and daylight control in building with a high percentage of transparent surfaces;
• Optimal daylight autonomy and low glare risk, calculated with sDA300,50 and ASE50,250;
• Use of mixed-mode cooling system, based on ASHRAE adaptive comfort approach;
• Definition and computer simulation of building automation system for controlled natural ventilation of the space;
• Dynamic energy simulation in IES VE that verifies a 90% reduction of the energy needs thanks to the mixed-mode system;
• Organize the work done in a timed presentation to expose at the judging commission.
