Waterfall Temple

This conceptual project was created as an attempt to connect a sanctuary with falling water. The idea behind the design was to open up a sheet of water curtain by adding two, bending toward the bottom, divisions. The mysterious front of the sanctuary is meant to create a sense of wonder rather than reveal the entire structure. Two slabs slightly open up the water and invite passersby to discover the entire object. The temple is a passage leading through a rocky cliff. The plan of the walkthrough is subtly meandering which creates little rooms and niches through the structure. The passage is open up to the top which allows light to come through and gives mystical character to space. The main material used inside is a shiny mosaic tile that helps to diffuse the light inside of the passage.
