Climate Change Museum

This project prompted students to investigate the idea of creating a Climate Change Museum. This is currently a real project in development for New York City. Students were allowed to work as individual designers or could work in teams during the development of the design.  The design presented here centers around creating a hub for artists, educators, tourists and the local community to interact with one another and gain knowledge about the changing results of climate change on the environment.

By designing a courtyard in the center between two building. Local community can relax and use the spaces directly opposite the courtyard. As the user moves higher up the structure the spaces become more private; being a rooftop bar, events spaces and private offices. The middle of the buildings allows for plenty of exhibition spaces.
