The project serves the purpose of protecting the Chambal River from getting deteriorating from the daily discharge of harmful pollutants released from large open drainages and from STP of insufficient capacity in treatment.

So, to prevent this to happen in Kota the project deals with one of the types of environmental degradation i.e., wastewater pollution through building the Wastewater awareness center with an upgraded treatment plant with the redevelopment of drainage that results in the prevention of polluting Chambal River, flooding, water-borne diseases and gives ease in transportation through NVM proposal and community park at the periphery of drainage.
