I have been working in the design industry for over ten years which has exposed me to many diverse project typologies such as single family residential, workplace and commercial interiors, furniture design, and broadcast media and entertainment, to name a few. This multitude of project experiences has exposed me to the full lifespan of a job from conceptual and schematic design at inception, completely through to construction administration and final punch listing; all while routinely interfacing with clients for design presentations and project status updates. This hands-on approach to architectural design has allowed me a breadth of real world construction knowledge that can only be gained from being present and perceptive on site, learning from site conditions and best practices.

• Oversaw the production of coordinated drawing sets from schematic design conception to finalized construction documents, executing technical detailing and millwork shop drawing, overseeing redline reviews, conducting finish and fixture research, and ensuring New York City Code and ADA compliance.
• Managed construction administration through to project completion, including interpretation of shop drawings, on-site coordination between trades and subcontractors, formulating project punch lists, and determining whether built product met expectations of design intent.
• Regularly interacted with clients and contractors to understand project requirements, develop design concepts within project constraints, conducted design presentations, led site visit walkthroughs, and maintained fast-paced construction schedules.

• Developed schematic design concepts based on project and client needs through process of space planning, refining programmatic needs, and producing schemes that artistically and functionally represent the client’s character and vision. Generated fully coordinated construction documentation collaborating with MEP engineers, varying consultants, and interior designers for seamless implementation resulting in few RFI’s and on-budget projects.
• Worked in concert with construction management to review shop drawings and product submittals, performing routine site visits to maintain accuracy with construction documents and desired design aesthetics, and conducted regular site visits to ensure project time line milestones were met.

• Prepared structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing plans, along with other architectural construction documents for the renovation and addition of historical single family houses and condominiums.
• Conducted building material selections, orders and deliveries to ensure timely and efficient construction scheduling in conjunction with the project manager and subcontractors.
• Completed and delivered permit drawing sets to the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs to obtain various building permits and administer necessary permit drawing revisions.
