About

Primarily, I work with families in the Bay Area (Northern California, USA) on renovations to their homes.  I strive to design high-functioning, aesthetically pleasing, well-built spaces that enhance everyday life.  In my practice, I continually seek an appropriate balance between budgetary and legal constraints, programmatic goals, and rigorous, thoughtful design.  I'm mindful of the environmental impact of buildings and that consciousness runs throughout my work.
I hold a M. Arch degree with Honors from the University of Colorado and a B.A. in English literature from Northwestern University.
In addition to my work, I enjoy watercolor painting, hiking, tennis, museum-going, cooking, and walks with my dog.
