With six years of industry experience, including two post-graduate years, I have had the opportunity to work within a small and dynamic team in a research-oriented and sustainability-focused firm, contributing to expanding the firm's scope from local to global.
My international exposure and diverse project involvement across various scales and typologies have equipped me with a solid foundation in architectural practice. Additionally, my expertise in flood resilience and 'floating' architecture, complemented by strong visual communication skills, positions me as a confident candidate capable to make meaningful contributions to your team.
During my six years in the industry, I have been engaged in projects both domestically in the UK and internationally in countries such as Australia, Ghana, Kenya, Monaco, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, the USA, and Trinidad and Tobago. This diverse experience has deepened my skills in working with international design teams and clients, allowing me to adapt designs effectively to various cultural and environmental settings.
I have played a pivotal role in securing planning approval for several projects, contributing from the outset in shaping project objectives, preparing planning documentation and drawings, and coordinating with consultants. This involvement extends across projects both domestically and internationally.
The projects I have been involved in encompass a diverse range of types and scales, ranging from individual residential developments to large-scale masterplans. Most recently, I have been leading the project management efforts for a medium-sized sports facility at LP4 stage and contributing to the masterplan for a significant NEOM project.
Throughout my six-year working at Baca Architects, a firm deeply rooted in flood resilience research, I have gained significant knowledge in sustainable design strategies for addressing the climate crisis. Through involvement in projects on flood-prone sites, I have developed skills in balancing current and future safety concerns with enhancing user experience.
Additionally, my involvement in various projects with Baca's affiliated Dutch company, Waterstudio, has enriched my understanding of 'floating' architecture, encompassing both its design and construction aspects.
My Master's thesis delved deeper into the social and political dimensions of living with water, exploring the inevitable future challenges and opportunities it presents.
Having accumulated over a decade of expertise in architectural visualisation, I have honed my abilities to effectively communicate the narrative of a project and captivate the interest of clients, planning authorities, and prospective occupants alike. My extensive experience has been crucial in collaborating with external visualisation teams, providing guidance and input throughout the process.
