The building design has a large glass front, that blurs the lines between inside and out, and all academic and faculty facilities are planned around a central atrium.
The primary staircase abuts the atrium space, and, apart from being a functional design, ends up being an all weather “social space”.
The building is naturally ventilated, for keeping it cool during the warm season. However, the high performance glazing and UPVC fenestration system allows the building to be used in cold weather also, without being air-conditioned.
Steel PEB is the primary structural framing, and deck slabs are provided for all floors. The external envelope is made from insulated double wall brick work, procured locally.
