Amenta Emma Architects is pleased to announce the promotion of Jenna McClure, AIA, LEED AP, to Principal. Jenna joined Amenta Emma Architects in 2008 and has moved up the ranks becoming an Associate in 2011, Senior Associate in 2016, Associate Principal in 2021, and now, Principal in 2024. She possesses a collection of talents that has led to progressively greater responsibilities, and her can-do attitude both professionally and in her personal life translates to a compassionate and energized role model and leader. As a Senior Project Manager, Jenna has overseen some of the firm’s most complex and notable projects such as the renovation of the Connecticut State Office Building in Hartford, and the Visual and Performing Arts Center at Western Connecticut State University. Jenna received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from the University of Virginia and a Master of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech. She is a recipient of the Hartford Business Journal 40 Under 40 award. Within the firm, she serves on the JEDI+B committee and leads the firm’s recruiting efforts. She is a mentor to Amenta Emma emerging professionals, and young women pursuing degrees in the AEC fields through various professional organizations. She is an active member of numerous industry organizations, including serving as a Board Member of the West Hartford Design Review Advisory Committee.
