Amanda Azzahra is a designer based in New York City. She has been working in Jakarta, Seoul and New York City, which include HWKN (Hollwich Kushner) where she previously worked. In 2014, she graduated from Master of Design in Interior Studies (adaptive reuse) program at Rhode Island School of Design after having studied interior design in Indonesia at Institute of Technology Bandung.
Her artistic journey began with her hobby in photography that lead to an interest in the relationship between space, materiality, light and shadow. She explores design in multiple scales, from jewelry, industrial design, and architecture. She believes that design should not be limited to scale or discipline, that is why she is open to cross the boundaries to find innovative solution.
Amanda’s works have been exhibited in exhibitions in Chicago, Providence and Jakarta and have been published in the Creators Project. Beside has been working as a freelance interior photographer, she was also contributed to Bravacasa Indonesia magazine reporting shows and trend from New York City. Currently looking for exciting opportunities in Asia and Europe where she can apply her expertise in architecture and design.
