About

I am a recent graduate of School of Architecture and Design from NJIT. I am currently taking my Architectural Registration exams. I plan to utilize the ARE 4.0 - 5.0 transition in my favor and finish my licensing by Summer 2018.

As a teenager, I finished high school in 3 shorts years, attended NJIT as an honors student. Apart from academics, I spent my summers interning, even at the early ages during my high school years for companies like Turner and Louis & Berger.

I registered to New York Board of Architects, and began taking my tests for Architectural Licensing in Summer 2016.

I have played soccer since my childhood, and now as an adult, I am climbing the ladder of Coaching licenses in US Soccer Coaching structure. I received my license F in Spring 2016, and License E in Summer 2016. Also through Habitat for Humanity, I volunteered for Rebuilding efforts after devastation of Sandy, and also for low income housing efforts for the underprivileged areas in Newark.

Employment

AECOM, New York, NY, US, Junior Architect

My employment at AECOM began before this NYCHA project kicked off. I had a chance to work with the Lead Architect and other project managers while structuring the training for Physical Needs Assessments. After training, I was the Junior architect for team consisting of a RA, PE Mechanical and an Electrical Engineer. My team inspected NYCHA housing projects in Manhattan, during which I had a chance to first hand experience analysis of structural and architectural physical conditions, mechanical and plumbing systems, and electrical utility systems. In July 2016, I was promoted to Quality Control/Assessment, which allowed me to engage in Capital Planning for existing projects and NextGen Projects.

Falcon Group - Consultants, New York, NY, US, Architectural Intern

I was hired for Revit modeling of Parkchester, Bronx. With its 117 buildings, and 12,000 units, my 6 month contract allowed me to create a digital archive for building management, information access, and construction management. The construction submissions, material warranties, and construction schedules were to be arranged in the information model. This unprecedented complex would have an unprecedented Property management system, but our client choose not to extend the contract and the model of Parkchester was submitted as a final result of the project. In the mean time, as an intern of Falcon Architectural Services, I surveyed, prepared drawings, and participated in the design of apartment renovations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. My most exciting project was the zone study for a potential development in Brooklyn's Nostrand Ave.

Mor Mimarlik, Istanbul, TR, Intermediate Architect

As a short term employee, my english, AutoCad and Revit experience were most effective in my work. I actively participated in presentations for international developers for their projects in Turkey, Qatar, Algeria, Greece, and Morocco. My AutoCad and Revit experience allowed me to engage with the office quickly, and made for very interactive learning experiences. The exposure to a different culture of Architecture was an essential moment in my personal development.

Barnabas Health - Operations Management, West Orange, NJ, US, Corporate Architectural Intern

As a summer intern, I was responsible for surveying existing conditions and updating Operations Management records. As an architecture intern, my surveys were to the every extent of their hospitals, which made for some unforgettable memories and insight to campus planning, building circulation, life safety, fire safety and corporate operations in between.
