About

I am currently a Senior studying Interior Design at Central Michigan University. I am a part of the honors program with my school and have been on the Dean's list every semester. Design is my passion as well as helping others and I hope to combine the two in the near future. My goal is to design for Senior Living homes and also Childcare facilities. I have started this dream by taking a therapeutic design class at my university where I had the great opportunity to design a treatment room for children and the Children's Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. I had to present this design, along with my other classmates designs, to the hospital. My I-spy themed room impressed the board and was picked to be a part of their hospital. My room is currently installed in the hospital and is making treatment a little bit more bearable for children everyday. I also volunteer with a program called Lunch Buddies where I visit an elementary school every Friday during lunch and I mentor a child and teach them the importance of school and healthy eating. Being surrounded by kids every Friday inspires me to continue helping others and I plan to do that throughout my career. Interior Design is a great way to connect with people and help make their everyday lives a little bit easier...and prettier.
