Alfio Di Bella is a multidimensional architectural professional who is proud to offer global architectural and consulting services in the fields of architectural design, interior design, landscape design, planning and restoration.
Alfio has worked with a wide portfolio of architectural projects in Europe for over 31 years and in Asia for over 20 years. In the 90s, after an initial role as Senior Architect and board member, Alfio had been made partner and functioned in roles both within and supervising multi-disciplinary design teams. In 2000 Alfio has co-founded Finenco Architects with his father, the late Italian Engineer Vincenzo Di Bella, who has initially founded the Finenco group in Genoa, Italy in the early 80s and was one of the first Italian architecture and design companies to register in China (2002) and Vietnam (2003). Furthermore, it is the first Italian architecture and design company registered in Mongolia. Finenco Architects has now grown to be one of the most important firms of its kind in the whole Asian context.
In 2007, Alfio had been supervising a total number of over 100 people in various design teams. His ability to understand and deal with extremely complex, technically difficult and time critical projects led to him being a Senior Architect on several highly demanding jobs. On occasions he had to resolve critical design and detail issues that were proving to be problematic.
Alfio is also highly competent at managing top level projects, teams of architects plus budgets and quality control for his clients. His specialises in these major sectors: Urban planning, architectural projects, interior design and restoration. Projects covers a variety of disciplines, these include: industrial, commercial, residential, sports and leisure, hotels and hospitality, retail and educational institution, where the biggest project was worth over a hundred million Euros.
Alfio has built solid background knowledge of how different stages of architecture come together and from the point of view of a business profitability and sustainability with latest green technology. He is not only familiarised with overall aesthetic design of a structure but also has thorough technical understanding of the functionality scheme and taking into account the considerations of how all operations in a structure can work together practically and harmoniously (e.g. the different functions in a hotel)
In addition to an architect role on the above projects, Alfio is also a consultant for other architectural projects with much knowledge on project profitability and management. He is an expert of and possessing vast knowhow on all types of material, completely familiar with the technical aspects of materials installation and problem shooting in the installation process. This ability to offer advice on materials proves to be a hugely valuable asset in any architectural design projects, especially when working with local design and construction companies. Alfio is accustomed to giving lectures and speeches in front of hundreds of people at a time on a range of topics concerning Architecture as a whole.
