About

Alexandra Bocon has worked for a number of corporate and residential design firms throughout her career, ranging from smaller boutique outfits to large-scale companies. Bocon's background includes stints with Sandra Nunnerley, Joseph Kremer, Bilhuber & Associates, Tom Scheerer, Inc., and esteemed architect Peter Marino. At these firms Alexandra was responsible for several high-end projects in and around the New York City area as well as globally in some instances, including a commercial project for Marino in South Korea. In addition to her design duties, Bocon also functioned as a lead and mentor to newer designers, passing down the knowledge and experience she has accumulated over the years.

Alexandra's expertise in project logistics, material selection, space planning and deadline management have been crucial as she's moved upward within the design industry. Bocon's ability to manage client expectations within the allotted budget has proven invaluable to her employers, and her proficiency with software such as AutoCad, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop has allowed her to assist in all phases of a design project's lifecycle.

Education has always been a key to Alexandra's success, starting in grade school just outside of Boston where she coupled her academics with a number of other activities including dance and music. As a child, Bocon was a flutist in a Church band and a dancer in the Boston Ballet's Nutcracker production. Alexandra also excelled in sports, playing on multiple basketball teams throughout grade school and high school as well as being named captain of her golf team as a senior.

In her college years Bocon continued her extracurriculars, which included participating in several annual races and volunteering for a number of agencies, all the while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a Master's in Design Management from the Pratt Institute in New York.

Bocon remains active in the design industry and lives in Brooklyn, New York with her fiance who is also an avid runner.
