Alejandra Rosado

Blacksburg, VA, US

I am a graduate from Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture + Design; I majored in both Interior Design and Art History. Being passionate about art and design has led me to seek a career in which my art history background can broaden my knowledge of art on a wider scale. In turn, my study of interior design allowed me to understand form and space and how this can enhance the human experience. My passion for design and eagerness to learn about different methodologies of design encouraged me to attend to the interior architecture program Monash University in Melbourne, Australia where I completed a semester of studio and art history courses.

Having grown up in Honduras, studied my undergraduate degrees in the United States, and studied abroad in Australia, I have been imbued with an intercultural sensibility that enables me to be open minded and to push the boundaries of not only life but also my biggest passion—design. Also I have discovered that I adapt very quickly to new environments. These life experiences instill in me a borderless ambition to take things to a next level, a characteristic that could be essential to succeed in the creative and professional world.

My background has given me a different vision that helped me look at design challenges in a unique manner and always think outside the box. I think of design as a world of concepts where every design scenario should always be challenged with questions.
