The site is on Museum Hill, on the outskirts of Santa Fe, and joins a complex of existing museums. My initial intent for the museum was to create public space by extending the plaza onto the site. The roof of the museum becomes a sculpture garden with direct connection to the plaza. Inspired by the New Mexico landscape, I covered the site to create a man-made terrain to compliment the surrounding environment. This public space serves as a place to both experience man-made terrain and observe the natural landscape.
