About 

A licensed architect with ten years experience dedicated to serving diverse communities, domestically and internationally. A co-founder of a Seattle-based design-build group. A leader in participatory design, leveraging community stakeholders to find bottom-up solutions to socio-ecomonic and environmental issues. Project lead establishing the first, design-build architecture program in the Philippines, using locally sourced bamboo sustainable design and construction on two community projects. Awarded a Fulbright grant to institutionalize Foundation University’s program to gain national recognition, including the "Most Eco-Friendly School in the Philippines" from the United Nations in 2015.  Inspired by collaborative projects that empower communities to thrive.  “c r e a t e   t o   e l e v a t e”!

Returned to Foundation University as a consulting architect and Fulbright scholar to institutionalize the program and develop guidelines from case studies on completed projects, curriculum improvements, reduced scope and budgets for efficiency and greater impact. Awarded “Most Eco-Friendly School in the Philippines” from the United Nations in 2015.

Co-leader of the first, design-build architecture program in the Philippines. Established and maintained community partnerships, logistical coordination, budgets, and fund-raising.

Led Filipino students through research, comprehensive planning, design, and construction on two, community design-build projects. Served as Thesis Chair Advisor from 2013-14. Taught 5th year thesis courses: Design Studio 9, Design Studio 10, and Comprehensive. 4th year courses: Building Technology 5, Community Planning and Development, Design Studio 8, and Research Methods. The program received a TAYO award and Php 50,000 scholarship in 2013
