Our design firm, Joaquin Perez-Goicoechea and Nasser Abulhasan -co-founders and partners of AGi architects-, and four of our projects have been shortlisted for Middle East Architect Awards 2013. The shortlist has been announced today featuring five people/projects in each category.

Specifically, we have been selected to compete in the following categories:

• GCC Residential Project of the Year. Three of our projects have been shortlisted for this award: Star House, Secret House and Mop House.
• GCC Public Sector, Institutional & Cultural Project of the Year: BBS Pre-School.
• Boutique Middle East Architecture Firm of the Year (less than 100 employees). AGi architects have been shortlisted along with other four design firms.
• Architect of the Year, Middle East: Nasser Abulhasan.
• Principal of the Year, Middle East: Joaquín Pérez-Goicoechea and Nasser Abulhasan.

Winners will be announced on Tuesday 5th November in Dubai.

AGi architects won three Middle East Architect Awards last year: Boutique Middle East Architecture Firm of the Year, GCC Residential Project of the Year for S Cube Chalet and Joaquin Perez-Goicoechea was Highly Commended for Principal of the Year.
