This project examines the creation of spatial conditions through the use of primary shapes formed on the facade. Recognizable shapes are merged with color and pattern to create varying perspectives from the formal characteristics of a townhouse. RAZZMATAZZ wholly embraces the practice of double-talk: lines in elevation are interpreted multiple ways, creating townhouses that utilize the same geometry but are unabashedly distinct. RAZZMATAZZ spatializes the representational practice of creating pure geometry to conceive distinctive entry conditions. The positioning of typical townhouse elements in a peculiar way transforms the townhouse identity while referencing symbols associated with domesticity.
