Hi! My name is Alexander Elguera and I’m a designer with interests in architecture, space planning and fabrication. I am currently in my thesis year of the B.Arch at Pratt Institute School of Architecture in Brooklyn, NY.
In addition to my traditional academic training from Pratt Institute School of Architecture, I was afforded the opportunity to obtain a concentration in Morphological Studies from the Center of Experimental Structures at the school of architecture which allowed me to explore the field of architecture in a more nuanced and collaborative way, dealing with material, graphical and formal creativity. I also participated in the research of Domestic Mutations under the supervision of professor Lawrence Blough, which, through the process of diagramming the shared economy reveals new models of contemporary collective formations. My previous professional experiences led me in multiple directions, contributing different design intentions with various teams and philosophies, working on projects ranging from high end interiors to educational facilities. My résumé and portfolio provide greater detail for your review and consideration.
