Hello,

My name is Adrienne Wicks. I received my M.Arch. from the University of Washington in 2010 and my B.A. from University of Pennsylvania in 2001. Since graduating from UW I have been running a small design|build company. We focus mostly on remodels but we are currently building our first new construction: a 1,000sf garage with loft on Mason Lake in Grapeview, WA. Running a business has been a good challenge and I am now ready to move forward in my professional development.  I hope to gain experience on a wide variety of projects, but I am especially excited about multi-family housing, civic and non-profit work.

I’m seeking full- or part-time employment with an architecture firm that shares my commitment to community development and public engagement. About six years ago I co-founded a working group called TiLT. We have taken on several volunteer projects in partnership with the homeless and homeless advocacy communities in Seattle. Though these projects have been relatively small design interventions they have been some of my favorite to work on.

I will bring a broad skill set to your firm. My experience in building and fabrication make me a stronger designer, from broad conceptual design to construction details. I am thorough and bring a high level of craft and finish to everything I do. Beyond that I am an extremely patient and swift learner, enthusiastic about great design and looking forward to collaborating with like-minded people.
