Deborah Martin Designs is a comprehensive design services to discriminating up-market clients. Employing a demonstrated versatility in creating dynamic, distinctive and livable interiors for luxury residential clients.

Design tasks range from preliminary site measurements, sketch and concept development, spatial planning, material selection and sourcing, AutoCAD drafting, illustrating design intent through photo-realistic renderings, creation of client presentations of material boards and drawings, conducting contractor/client meetings, vendor and contractor liaising, purchasing of FF&E, schedule and supervise installation.

Graphic Design tasks includes designing and arranging full page print advertising in shelter magazines (total 20), assisting in editorial layouts where Deborah Martin Designs is featured, redesigned and maintain company's website and blog site, arrange and publish DMD's hardcover coffee table book.

Administrative responsibilities include creation of invoices, purchase orders and contract documentation such as letter of agreements and vendor/client contracts, establishing and maintaining client budgets, marketing company's brand by establishing social media presence on all platforms.

Hope Star LLC, Garden City, NY, US, Interior Design

Formulated a design-build concept for a North Shore, Long Island property in collaboration with Deborah Martin of Deborah Martin Designs. Working alongside a team of Architects, Landscape Architects, Contractors and Master Craftsman a design scheme was created for a 12,000 square foot opulent estate and freestanding cabana. Material specification, Photo-realistic renderings and a complete drawing set was presented and submitted to contractors for build. Project is presently in construction.

Jacqueline Beymer Scholarship Recipient, Scholarship

The Club is once again pleased to offer substantial scholarship awards this year to encourage participation and enthusiasm among the many talented students pursuing careers in Interior Design at the NYC colleges offering academic programs: Fashion Institute of Technology, New York Institute of Technology, New York School of Interior Design, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, and the School of Visual Arts. Students are selected by their instructors for inclusion in the competition.

Each year, the Club invites the submissions from students in their third year at the six local interior design schools to participate in the competition. The work was installed in the New York Design Center.

The Decorators Club, Inc. president, Ann Lind Bowers, and The Decorators Club Education Fund, Inc. Scholarship Committee chairperson, Doreen Stempien, presented the awards

Brendalyn Stempel Scholarship Recipient, Scholarship

Brendalyn Stempel, a member of the advisory board of the School of Architecture and Design and an interior designer in her own right, established a yearly scholarship in 2009 for NYIT's interior design students. The merit-based scholarship gives financial support to well-rounded, hardworking students in their senior year. Faculty members and the chair of the Department of Interior Design select award candidates who are then required to present their work to a panel, which includes Ms. Stempel. Recipients must be entering their final year of the interior design program, have achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher, and can be either full- or part-time students.
