Cameia Tower was proposal meant to explore a different  solution to slum clearance in Angola. according to the U.N report  introducing infrastructure in  shanty towns is 10 time cheaper and, more effective way to urbanize impoverished communities. Cameia tower was a study on how to insert infrastructure with minimal displacement, uplifting the community morale and, providing a much needed service while providing an architecture that is inherently local.
