About

I am an extremely enthusiastic, ambitious and driven architecture graduate from Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. After recently graduating from Northumbria University with a BA (Hons) degree in Architecture, I am now looking for professional experience with a contemporary, lively, architectural design practice, hoping to develop my skills in all areas of design and apply myself to challenging and exciting new experiences and responsibilities in practice.

I am an extremely hard working and passionate person and I consider myself to be a creative yet logical problem solver with strengths in architectural graphics. My experiences in customer service while studying have give me a great sense of work ethic, commitment, while enhancing communication skills.

In the future, after gaining required professional experience I plan to progress onto a masters program in architecture and aspire to work internationally as I have gained a real interest and passion for travel and experiencing different places and cultures.

I have always had an interest in art and design and the world around me from an early age. My other interests include graphic design, illustration, drawing, photography, music, drums, travelling, hiking, cycling and other outdoor activities.

Walbottle Campus Technology College (Sixth form), Newcastle upon Tyne, GB, A-Levels - Art and design (A), Information and communication technology (B), Engineering (C)

First stage of UK higher education, I completed 3 A-Level courses; Art and design, Information and communication technology, and Engineering. After my high school education I began to focus my subjects and skill base towards design related fields.

Engineering introduced me to technical drawing and drafting as well as 3D computer modelling and practical work using CAD/CAM. Through my GCSE and A-Level engineering I began to realise my love of problem solving and practical, logical design. Art and design then brought a more creative element to my education and personal development. I started to become very aesthetically aware and began to bring a professional graphic and creative approach to my work. The mix of these two base subjects mixed with advancing computer skills from ICT rapidly brought me towards my passion and focus for design and ultimately architectural design. For me, the technical side of Engineering mixed with the creative side of Art and Design is the perfect combination.
