Dr. Janice Rockefeller is working with the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) to open a small family medical practice in Little River County, Arkansas. The town of Winthrop has agreed to allow the small medical firm to use half of the lower portion of the old elementary school, now converted to a museum, at 530 Spring Street. The school is listed on the Arkansas list of Historic Places. Dr. Rockefeller is returning to her Missouri roots where she hopes that she can assist the communities in the small towns within driving distance of Winthrop. Moreover, little River County is a small town, and the city’s population is decreasing. Also, Little River County is an agricultural town.
