I started my career at Wight and Company in Darien, IL. At Wight, I worked on seven schools in the Elmhurst school district and a crane training facility for IBEW #9. Given the company’s integrated design approach, I had the opportunity to work closely with structural and civil engineers, MEP, sustainable designers, and fellow architects. My role included editing Revit drawings/models, working on construction documents, leading meetings on IBEW local 9, and collaborating with in house specialists.

In the last semester of my Master’s, I was fortunate enough to be selected for the most prestigious class at the school of architecture, the Plym Studio. This studio included an opportunity to learn from the distinguished Plym professor Gong Dong, founder of Vector Architects, and a weeklong trip to Beijing to learn about the typologies of traditional Chinese Hutongs. We also traveled to Southern China to visit and tour the celebrated luxury hotel, Alila Yangshuo, designed by Vector Architects. My final studio project was nominated for the Design Excellence Award by Gong Dong, Zhu-Pei, and Botand Bognar, and was published in a monograph alongside writings from Juhani Pallasmaa and Kenneth Frampton.
University of Illinois Study Abroad Program - Barcelona, Spain, Sant Cugat del Vallès, ES, Architecture
I spent my senior year at UIUC studying abroad at UPC - ETSAV in Sant Cugat, Barcelona; the university is ranked as the 9th best architecture school in Europe and 21st in the world. During my time in Spain, I traveled throughout the EU developing my sketching skills and gaining exposure to European architecture and culture.
