This project's final debut will be on the Atlanta Beltline as an entrance way to a skate park. The design is credit to Sean Miller who designed a parametric model on Grasshopper to created a curves that held different angles but were based on a singular unit. This meant that a single rubber form-liner could be used to create multiple different types of arches. Though the mothermolds supporting would have to be unique for a quarter of the project (considering symmetry along the x and y axis) this still saved a great deal in time and materials. I believe it proves the efficiency of smart design as well as the potential beauty in ingrained mathematics.
