Zachary Schumacher is a designer and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. His current research looks to incorporate digital fabrication and labor practices that have been initially dismissed by architecture, including aftermarket automotive finishing and mechanics, to perform alternative modes of construction that hybridize the spatial, graphic, and visual production of architecture. Zachary currently teaches at Dartmouth College and the Princeton University School of Architecture. Previously he has taught at UC Berkeley and RISD, and his scholarly can be found in Actar, Contract, Log, Paprika!, and Pidgin. Schumacher holds a Master of Architecture from RISD, and a Master of Science in Architectural Studies from MIT.
